Impressions from BETT 2026
We went, we saw, we conquerEDTech Station

BETT 2026

Keeping up with our habits, Eummena returned to London for the 2026 edition of BETT!

We joined forces with a group of amazing startups from Belgium's EdTech Station and support of Flanders Investment & Trade - FIT.

This year, we were located at the Innovation Village joined by companies from the Netherlands.

We were also happy to meet Liz Starbuck Greer from Moodle HQ and discuss our impressions from the event as well as the feedback we'd been getting from Moodlers that stopped by our stand during the show.

Chocolates & Moodle

People came for Moodle, but they took some Belgian chocolate on their way out!

As in our previous participations, once more, AI was very much in the picture in this year's BETT. Hardware was also very present, with multiple solutions being presented, ranging from robots and similar kits for STEM education, but also projectors and other hardware that can be embedded in a classroom to transform the learning experience.

Of course, software like Moodle was still there, bringing solutions that were more AI-oriented this year, but still bringing great value to the educational community. In general, it was really amazing to get this "overview" from EdTech companies around the world, and get to experience how education is shaping up in 2026.

Experience

During our talks with people that stopped at our stand, drawn by the Moodle logo and our amazing UniPlay theme and own plugins for Moodle, we had more than one "epiphany" moments - hence the lightbulb on the right.

It was really interesting to see how people are using Moodle and how mature were the questions that they came with.

From governmental agencies, to NGOs, schools, universities but also companies, we had the opportunity to talk with people that are using Moodle out-of-the-box but also to people that are stretching Moodle to its limits.

In the first case, we were able to demonstrate how much Moodle has changed over the past few years, and how many things can be supported nowadays, and in the second case we had the opportunity to go into deeper discussions and touch on challenges that can be solved with our solutions and our approach. We did share with them how we see new and improved learning experiences can be realised with Moodle Workplace and Moodle LMS.

Yet another BETT is over. We've been back for over a week now, but the experiences and the discussions are still pretty alive in our heads. We have started following up with all the amazing people that we met, and although the BETT halls are now empty, we're very sure that many interesting connections are just starting.

Now, let us tell you a secret, we have agreed that with every coming BETT, there will be a run! Yes, we run every city we visit, before we go to the event venues!

We'll talk again soon!
